Terms of Service

Plain terms,
no small print.

What you get when you use GripMCP or buy a plan, and what we each promise. Short on purpose.

01

About these terms

These terms apply when you download the GripMCP plugin, buy a paid plan or use this website. By doing any of those, you agree to them. “We” and “us” means GripMCP; “you” means the person or business using it.

02

The plugin and your licence

GripMCP is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL v2 or later), like WordPress itself.

  • Explorer (free) runs on as many sites as you like, with no licence.
  • Creator, Operator and Fleet are a separate download. A licence key unlocks your plan’s tools, updates and support on up to 5, 25 or 50 sites.

The licence covers access to updates, support and your plan’s features. Don’t share or resell licence keys.

03

Buying and renewing

Paid plans are sold through Freemius, our reseller, which runs the checkout, takes payment, handles sales tax and sends your invoices. Its terms also apply to the purchase.

  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time from your account. Paid features keep working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Upgrades are prorated. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
  • If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we’ll tell you before it does.
04

Refunds

Every paid plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee. If GripMCP isn’t right for you, email support@gripmcp.com within 14 days of your purchase and we’ll refund it in full. No forms. The licence is then deactivated and the sites move to the free Explorer plan.

05

When a licence ends

If a licence ends without renewal, GripMCP keeps running on your sites with the free Explorer tools. Your settings are kept, and your plan’s tools come back as soon as you renew. Updates and paid support stop until then.

06

Support and updates

  • Explorer: the docs, FAQ and our contact form.
  • Creator: email support, replies within 48 hours.
  • Operator: priority email, replies within 24 hours.
  • Fleet: priority email, replies within 24 hours, plus onboarding.

Reply times are targets on working days, not guarantees. Support covers GripMCP itself, not your AI assistant, your host or other plugins.

07

Using GripMCP responsibly

GripMCP lets an AI assistant act on your site with the permissions of the WordPress user who connected it. You stay responsible for your site, including:

  • who you allow to connect, and which actions you approve;
  • keeping backups of your site;
  • checking what your assistant does, since AI assistants can make mistakes;
  • following your AI provider’s own terms.

Don’t use GripMCP on sites you aren’t authorised to manage, or for anything unlawful.

08

No warranty

We work hard to make GripMCP safe and reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be error-free or suit every site.

09

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for GripMCP in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.

10

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and we’ll email customers about significant changes. How we handle personal data is covered in our privacy policy.
