About GripMCP

We give your AI
a grip on WordPress.

GripMCP is a WordPress plugin that connects the AI assistant you already use to the site you already run, with your permissions, your approvals and your log.

Why we built it

AI got good at the work. It still couldn’t reach the site.

Ask an assistant to write a post, tidy a menu or work out why a page is throwing errors, and it knows what to do. Then it hands you a wall of text to copy into wp-admin, one field at a time.

We built GripMCP to close that gap. It gives the assistant you already use a safe way into your site: it signs in as a real WordPress user, works within that user’s permissions, and waits for your OK before anything destructive.

No new dashboard to learn, no server to run, nothing proxied through us. Just your site, your assistant and a plain sentence.

What we believe

6 rules we build by.

They decide what ships, what waits for you, and what never goes in.

  1. Your site stays yours

GripMCP runs inside your WordPress, on your server. Requests go straight from your assistant to your site, never through us.

  2. Never more than you can do

The assistant works as a real WordPress user, and every request is checked against that user’s permissions.

  3. You make the big calls

Deletes, refunds and admin-access changes wait for your click by default. No assistant can approve its own request.

  4. Show the work

Every action lands in the activity log. In apps like Claude, bigger jobs show a live progress card, step by step.

  5. Undo should be easy

Posts keep their revisions, builder pages keep restore points, and file edits are backed up first and rolled back if they break the site.

  6. Free where it counts

The free plan runs on unlimited sites with no licence. Paid plans add store, builder and developer tools when you need them.

Proof, not promises

We built this website by chatting with it.

Every page on gripmcp.com was designed, written and shipped through GripMCP, with an AI assistant doing the work and us approving it. It is the same plugin you can install today.
